ACADEMIC OPHTHALMOLOGY GLAUCOMA SPECIALIST - DEPARTMENT OF OPHTHALMOLOGY & VISUAL SCIENCES
 
 The MCW Department of Ophthalmology is seeking an academically oriented glaucoma specialist to join the faculty at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.  This is an open-rank, full-time position in a clinician-educator track. 
 
The position’s clinical activity is primarily undertaken at the Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin Eye Institute and possibly one or two half-days per week at satellite clinics; however, ophthalmology faculty members also provide clinical coverage at the Children’s Wisconsin, Froedtert Hospital, and Zablocki Veterans Administration Medical Center, and ample opportunities to teach Ophthalmology residents.  The eye and vision group on campus is a physician led department consisting of 36 physicians, nine optometrists, and five research PhD’s.
 
Successful candidates should bring strong clinical abilities, well-refined interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and commitment to MCW’s academic missions. Candidates must be board Certified/Eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology, completion of Glaucoma Fellowship program, eligible for medical licensure in Wisconsin, and an interest in clinical or basic science research is desirable and could be supported with start-up.

Academic Glaucoma Specialist
The Department of Ophthalmology at SLUCare Physician Group is seeking a full-time fellowship trained glaucoma specialist to join our expanding department.  The position will hold the title of Assistant or Associate Professor of Ophthalmology, clinical or tenure track, commensurate with academic experience.
 
Duties will include clinical practice as well as the education of residents, fellows and medical students.  Responsibilities also include research collaboration and rotating call coverage for SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital (SLUH). SLUH is a 365 bed tertiary-care hospital and referral center, serving the population within a 150-mile radius of St. Louis. The hospital is a certified Level I trauma center in both Missouri and Illinois. Treating more than 2,300 major trauma cases each year, it operates the largest trauma program in the bi-state area. SLU Hospital is connected to our outpatient facility, known as the Center for Specialized Medicine, which houses 20 clinics in the 4-story space. 
 
Qualifications:
 
All candidates must be certified or board eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

We have an excellent opportunity to join a highly collegial team of ophthalmologists in Denver, Colorado. Our practice is stable and growing. We are one of the largest ophthalmology practices in Colorado. We are protected from non-medical interests such as private equity.  This is a shareholder track position with opportunity to become a shareholder.
 
Our group is 18 collegial and supportive ophthalmologists including 2 full time glaucoma subspecialists and nearly all subspecialities represented. The practice you will step into is turn- key. Volumes excess of sufficient to support a third surgical glaucoma subspecialist exist currently without need for practice building.
 
Our physicians are free to focus on clinical medicine. The practice is professionally managed. Though opportunities to pursue leadership roles exist, there is no expectation of administrative responsibilities for group physicians.
 
State of the art equipment, devices, and Epic EMR are in use. You will practice at a new medical office with an onsite ambulatory surgery center. There is no expectation to satellite.
 
Our glaucoma subspecialists see patients on a referral basis and also offer cataract care. Medical and surgical glaucoma is managed in conjunction with supporting integrated Kaiser Permanente general ophthalmologists and optometrists.
 
Our glaucoma subspecialists perform cataract surgery, MIGS, lasers, and more complex glaucoma surgeries. Due to the tremendous breadth and depth of experience in our group there is always opportunity to concentrate on specific interests and to develop new skills.

Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group department of Ophthalmology is seeking a Board Certified Ophthalmologist with Glaucoma fellowship training to join our growing department.  In addition to having a diverse glaucoma surgical skill set, the applicant must also be willing to manage comprehensive ophthalmology patients. 
 
Duties will include the teaching of residents at Loma Linda University and Riverside University Health System, on-call coverage, and clinical research. Level of appointment will be determined by the experience of the applicant. Salary is commensurate with experience.
 
The Loma Linda Eye Institute has excellent clinical facilities and a large, diverse patient population. Associated with Loma Linda University Medical Center and Children’s Hospital, LLUEI is also a teaching facility with ophthalmology residents and fellows.
 
 
Compensation & Benefits
 
The compensation range listed is for starting base compensation only and is adjusted based upon years of experience and/or faculty rank: $240,000 - $310,000. This amount does not include variable compensation or extra productivity and is subject to the individual department compensation plans. More information on compensation is discussed with the departments during the recruitment process.
